3.2 Screen Configuration
When Sssim Studio is first started, two windows appear; the Simulation Window which shows the solar system and the Control Window which lists function buttons. If you use the Media Viewer function described later, the Media Viewer Window also appears.
1) Simulation Window
2) Control Window
The Control Window is equipped with various interfaces for operating Solar System Simulator. It has a menu bar and toolbar at the top. In the center of the window are the Contents Browser on the left and Simulation Controller and the right. In addition to these two interfaces, the display area can be divided into three areas by embedding the Simulation Window in the Control Window. The partitions of these three areas can be changed by dragging them. You can also change the interface layout easily using the layout menu in View on the menu bar. The Contents Browser interface allows easy simulation operations using preset buttons. See 3.4 for details. At the bottom of the Contents Browser is the Media Viewer Controller. This interface is used for turning ON/OFF displays in the Media Viewer Window as well as controlling animation playback. See 3.5 for details on the functions of the Media Viewer. The Simulation Controller allows detailed manual simulation. Click on the tabs at the top to switch between Basic, Centering, Object Display, and Scenario Edit panels. See 3.3 and 3.6 for details. |
3) Media Viewer Window
The Media Viewer Window shows images and animations, etc. Specify these using the Contents Browser or Media Viewer Controller. The corresponding window appears. You can show or close windows by clicking on the Show button in the Media Viewer Window. Like the Simulation Window, drag the window to the screen you want to show, choose View->Full screen Media Viewer for a full-screen display. To return to the original window, choose View->Normal window Media Viewer. See 3.5 for details. |
